Fear and Trembling – June 29th, 2010

“Seeing so many happy people, it’s just amazing. You have to admit, Kenny Loggins is just awesome.”– Bill Leaman (the man responsible for Loggins)

That’s right everybody.  Okaloosa County, FL was concerned about the fact that the BP oil spill was scaring away many of the summer season tourists and their bright idea to boost excitement and fervor for their beaches was a free concert, a free KENNY LOGGINS concert.  Have these people not suffered enough!?!

I desperately wanted to give the fine people of NW Florida and visiting tourists the benefit of the doubt in assuming that the 7,000 plus crowd on hand were there to witness a train wreck.  It was, after all, a free opportunity to be able to unequivically answer someone if they were to ask, “What is the worst concert you’ve ever been to?”

But alas someone unfortunate to have been subjected to Kennyfest filmed Loggins and the, how can I say this, excited crowd as K-Log mellowed his way through a cover of Anne Murray’s “Danny’s Song.”  Is there no bottom to this suffering pit?

When we both have the courage to rise back to our feet I’ll see you for the next installment of Fear and Trembling.
