Florida State University student Austin Harrouff has been released from the hospital and is charged with the murder of John Stevens III, 59, and Michelle Mishcon, 53, during an August rampage outside of the late couple’s home near Jupiter, Florida.
Harrouff’s heinous alleged crimes made national headlines when it was reported that after stabbing John Stevens III, he proceeded to eat off part of his face. Harrouff, 19, spent weeks in a coma following the attack. County Sheriff William Snyder stated that he may have ingested “caustic” chemicals in the couple’s garage.
The teen is being transferred to a jail from the hospital today. After the savage attack, he was found in his underwear grunting audible animal noises before getting tasered. He told the police at the time of his arrest that they would not find any drugs in his system.
Harrouff also faces charges for the attempted murder of Jeff Fischer, a neighbor that he stabbed after he tried to intervene and assist the couple.
