Duggar Digest: Jessa Seewald skirts pregnancy questions, baby’s first vacation and Marjorie Jackson’s official TV debut
On tonight’s 19 Kids and Counting, newlyweds Ben and Jessa Seewald get to be alone (aside from TV crews) for the first time ever when they jet off for their honeymoon in Paris, Rome and Italy. (Interesting note: Derick and Jill Dillard decided to keep their honeymoon private, so they just got a more modest trip to North Carolina.)
In real-time, day 172 of the Jessa Seewald Pregnancy Watch continues. After last week’s curious photo of Ben hiding her stomach, rumors were further fueled this week by Jessa’s comments at the Southern Women’s Show in Richmond, Virginia.
One person in attendance told The Ashley’s Reality Roundup that Jessa said there was “nothing to report” when she was asked point-blank whether she’s expecting. To me, there’s a big difference between that and “no.” She could just be holding off on sharing the news until she’s farther along, unlike Jill Dillard who shared the news when she was just six weeks.
What’s more, TLC is teasing more “big news” coming soon — and some are speculating that Jessa will make an announcement in time for the Mother’s Day 19 Kids and Counting marathon, which ends with Jill’s delivery special. On top of that, a journalism student at the University of Arkansas reported seeing Jessa shopping in the maternity department at Ross’s.
The Dillards take 2-week-old Israel on vacation
Shortly before her due date, Jill was criticized for joining the family on vacation in Texas. Now, she’s getting new criticism for bringing her 2-week-old baby to the ATI Family Conference in Big Sandy, Texas. (She and Derick are pictured with baby Israel on the right side of the picture above.)
The big trip is a somewhat risky move not only for the young baby, but also for Jill who is still recovering from an emergency c-section. Just last week, she said she hadn’t even changed baby Israel’s diaper — only Derick’s done that — because she was still recovering from the difficult procedure.
Marjorie Jackson introduces herself on TLC.
Last week, 18-year-old Josiah Duggar announced his courtship with Marjorie Jackson, the 17-year-old daughter of his former Spanish tutor — meaning fans should get used to seeing her on 19 Kids and Counting.
In a cute video for TLC, Marjorie shares the “insider news” about Josiah’s courtship. The pair also explains what a courtship is and Josiah gets some advice from older brother Josh Duggar. To see Josiah and Marjorie’s courtship unfold, follow his newly created Instagram page.
