Justin Bieber now has reason to smile: He just got a pretty sweet deal with a Miami Beach judge for allegedly drag racing while under the influence.

According to TMZ, Justin’s lawyers managed to get his DUI, resisting arrest and driving without a license charges dismissed. Justin will plead guilty to reckless driving, one of the lesser offenses.

In terms of punishment, Justin must pay a fine and attend anger management classes. He won’t be placed on probation, won’t go to jail and won’t have to do any community service. The deal will reportedly be made official in court next week.

TMZ noted this agreement took longer than most similar cases because the judge wanted the Baby singer to star in an anti-drug PSA — an idea that Justin’s lawyers fiercely objected.

The legal team also fought prosecutors’ arguments that Justin should take a drug education course. Justin’s lawyers reportedly said that agreeing to the class would effectively be admission of a serious problem. They compromised with the judge by agreeing to the anger management class.

Justin’s fellow arrestee, Khalil, made a very similar deal, but did agree to the drug education classes. Both of the young adults’ records will be wiped of the reckless driving convictions once they complete the terms of the agreement.
