Customer pepper sprays 20 at Los Angeles area Wal-Mart for Black Friday deals

Tis the season to be jolly insanely aggressive!

Such was the case at a Los Angeles area Wal-Mart where an unidentified woman used pepper spray on 20 other customers just after the plastic wrapping was removed from a video game display containing items on sale. The incident occurred at 10:20pm last night, juts 20 minutes after the whistle sounded officially kicking off the stores Black Friday specials.

“I heard screaming and I heard yelling,” said customer Matthew Lopez, 18. “Moments later, my throat stung. I was coughing really bad and watering up.”

“People started screaming, pulling and pushing each other, and then the whole area filled up with pepper spray,” Sylmar resident Alejandra Seminario, 24, said. “I guess what triggered it was people started pulling the plastic off the pallets and then shoving and bombarding the display of games. It started with people pushing and screaming because they were getting shoved onto the boxes.”

“After we paid, we saw five that were in really bad shape,” Seminario said. “They had been sprayed in the face, it looked like, and they had swelling of the face, really extreme swelling of face, redness, coughing.”

“Somehow she was trying to use it to gain an upper hand,” police Lt. Abel Parga told reporters. Authorities are still looking for the woman.
