Celebrity Project Funway is an exclusive feature of starcasm.net that I hope to be able to update weekly. Basically I take the winning and losing design for the week’s episode of Project Runway (plus one “bonus” design of my choosing) and “fit” them on a celebrity. I’ll offer up a little explanation for my choices and some commentary on the various outfits.

Episode One of Season Six kicked off with a red carpet challenge, which is ideally suited for Celebrity Project Funway. (Whew!) This week I’ll start off with the winner and work my way down.
Christopher Straub
The winner this week was Christopher, who designed a poofy black and beige red carpet number reminiscent of the trash bag dress from a previous season of Project Runway. The beige skirt seemed a little “curtain sheery” to me, but otherwise I liked the outfit. I immediately thought of two celebrities to put it on: Bjork and Sarah Jessica Parker. The dress is a little fun and wacky, but not really fun and wacky enough for Bjork. So, I went with Sex and the City’s Carrie Bradshaw and I have to admit seeing it on her made me like the dress soooo much more! I dunno about the wrist thing, but otherwise I think it is EXACTLY like something SJP would wear. So far so good!
