Britney Spears has been teasing fans for weeks with photos from the set of the music video for her new single “Work B!tch” and late Thursday night she ratcheted up the teasegery by posting the first actual clip from the video on instagram along with the caption, “ATTENTION PEOPLE!!! Just a lil taste to hold y’all over. #WorkBxxch1stLook I <3 U @morbros!!!" Here's the clip, which features Britney Spears by a pool, in front of a makeup mirror, and in the desert on a square white dance floor. In all of the scenes she's sporting tiny hot shorts and a badass black bra, and in one scene she's got a frilly metallic short-sleeve bolero jacket (which she was seen wearing in some behind-the-scenes photos from the set a few weeks ago). In all the scenes she’s looking damn fine and appears to be seriously getting ready to WORK B!TCH!
MTV News spoke with the director of the “Work B!tch” music video, Ben More, who says, “You’re gonna get to see a lot of Britney that you haven’t seen in a long time. A lot of different wardrobe changes, a lot of different setups,” before adding, “It’s one of the more ambitious Britney videos in a while, I guess.”
More talks about the various locations which the video was shot, which is evidenced by the clip above. He mentions the desert, “another very unique location that involves water and just really beautiful architectural pieces,” and a “kind of really modern interior” that “serves as the hero dance routine location.”
More reveals that the video doesn’t necessarily attempt to tell a story as much as it is trying to bring across a theme, and that theme is “‘The queen is back and she’s about to show all these bitches how it’s done.'” More then adds, “It’s her being really fierce and taking back her throne in a way.”
“Work B!tch” is the lead single off Britney’s much-anticipated new album due out December 3.
