Two-time The Bachelor Brad Womack and his final rose recipient Emily Maynard have reportedly called it quits. Life & Style is reporting Emily ended the relationship during a phone call to Brad on the weekend of April 9. From L&S:
“Emily told Brad that she can’t picture them getting married,” an insider reveals to Life & Style. “Brad’s not acting like a fiancé, and she knows that he’s not going to change. Emily knows in her heart of hearts that the relationship is finished.”
A second “insider” tells the magazine Emily was suspicious that Brad might be cheating on her after he began to tone down the wooing:
“Brad seemed very complacent all of a sudden,” says the insider. “He did everything he could to woo and charm Emily on the show, and then it just slowed. Emily knows he likes Texas, he likes his bars and booze, so she’s just wondering if he likes someone else. It started to really worry Emily. She felt like, ‘If he’s not wanting to see her, who is he with?'”
According to the insider Emily hasn’t gone public with the break-up because she is under contract with ABC and can’t discuss their relationship in public without their consent. ABC reportedly called Emily on April 13 to remind her of that fact and encourage her to try and work it out with Brad. It doesn’t appear as though Emily plans to try any more than she already has to make things work with Brad and has reportedly ceased wearing her Neil Lane engagement ring.

I had my doubts about Brad all along – I’m just glad it seems to have ended without too much drama for either Brad or Emily and her daughter Ricki. For what it’s worth, I think they lasted longer than Jake Pavelka and Vienna Girardi did. And, unlike Jake and Vienna, it doesn’t sound as though Brad and Emily were ever on the verge of killing one another.
