Jennifer Del Rio’s episode of 16 & Pregnant hasn’t aired yet but she’s already a big league headlines maker. She’s due up next week for episode 2 and MTV has provided a preview video that shows a volatile swearing laden tense car ride scene between her and her twin’s baby-daddy Josh Smith. Here’s that clip for a taste of the young mother’s life as she gets left on the side of the road while Josh Smith speeds off with her sons:
If you weren’t able to catch the clip you can hear Del Rio, from Riverview, Florida, at the end yelling that Smith has kidnapped her kids and that he’s going to jail. Well Smith did end up getting arrested but it was for a later domestic violence charge as we previously reported. Del Rio was also featured in the Season 3 trailer and was shown hitting Smith repeatedly while he gets escorted away by the police in handcuffs. We got a great cap of that as well as a profile for Jennifer you can read here.
All of this sounds bad and sadly the two were back at it again as TMZ is reporting that cops were called to Josh’s home yesterday (4.19.11) in response to a battery call in which Josh claims he was attacked by Jennifer.
Their source states that Smith gave a statement to the police that indicated Del Rio got angry when he tried to break things off and proceeded to punch him in the face and rip off his shirt. Cops took statements from Jennifer too and as of this post neither parent has been arrested. Yet.
Here’s where the story actually gets a little more crazy if you can believe it. Jennifer addressed this report with her own version of what happened via her Official Fan Page on Facebook. Here is what she wrote:
Just when you think you’ve heard it all in the Teen Mom universe Jennifer is claiming that Josh attacked himself AND kidnapped the kids! Neither Jenelle Evans or Amber Portwood could have come up with that and from this couple’s violent history and the little bit of preview we’ve seen above I wouldn’t put it past Smith nor would I discount what he claimed either.
I don’t know about you but I’m going to be glued in front of the TV for Jennifer’s episode!
