In an exclusive interview with People magazine, Sandra Bullock reveals that she has filed for divorce from her husband Jesse James and that the couple secretly brought home a 3 1/2-month-old boy back in January! Who saw that one coming?!?
Sandra, 45, tells People that she and Jesse, 41, began the adoption process four years ago and were told that a child might be available in the middle of the hectic awards season. They decided to try to keep the bundle of joy named Louis Bardo Bullock a secret until after the Academy Awards, but as you probably know, it was at that time when news that Jesse James had been unfaithful broke. Someway, somehow Sandra has been able to keep little Louie a secret through some of the most intense media scrutiny of the last twenty years!
She tells the magazine what she did after finding out about her husband’s infidelities: “I did the only thing I could do, and that was to pack enough clothes to live on, get all of Louis’ things and get out of town. My main concern was Louis.”
As far as the adoption process and the length of time it took to get Louis, Sandra says that she and Jesse didn’t pull any strings and subjected themselves the same time-consuming screening process most hopeful adoptive parents have to go through. The couple was open to adopting a child of either sex from any background and were blessed with little Louis, who was born in New Orleans.
When asked about Jesse’s role in raising Louis, Sandra said, “I will be adopting as a single parent. Anything else will be taken day by day.” She further addresses the issue by saying, “I really don’t know how our paths will intersect in the future, but the father I have known Jesse to be with all the kids is one that I hope Louis can experience one day, no matter how Jesse and I go on with our lives.”
She also talked about Jesse’s three children, “I don’t want to know what life is like without those kids. … Whatever we need to do, in the healthiest way, we are going to be co-parenting.”
An already unbelievable story just got more unbelievable! It already appeared that Sandra was enjoying what must have been the highest point in her life when Jesse’s infidelities brought it all crashing down, and now we found out she had just secretly become a mother at that time as well?!? At least Louis is a part of her happiness she will get to keep.
