Police raid Heather Locklear’s home looking for gun while she is in rehab after arrest

Heather Locklear arrested 2018

Actress Heather Locklear was arrested on February 25 after a domestic dispute with her live-in boyfriend and former high school flame Chris Heisser. Making matters worse, during the arrest Heather assaulted the arresting officers, calling a female officer a “c*nt” and kicking a male officer in the groin.

She also reportedly threatened to shoot the officers if they came to her house again, which understandably concerned the officers given the fact that Heather has a handgun registered in her name.

“I don’t know when she got the handgun,” Sgt. Eric Buschow, of the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office, told Us Weekly. “But I do know that yes, she did make that statement to the police the night that she was arrested.” Heather’s threat, combined with the gun registered in her name, was motivation enough for police to obtain a search warrant for the 56-year-old former Melrose Place star’s home on Tuesday.

Officers reportedly searched Heather’s Thousand Oaks home for hours, but were unable to locate a weapon.

Heather was not at home at the time; she’s checked herself into a rehab facility after being released on $20,000 bond. According to a source for ET, Heather is “getting the help she finally needs,” after battling substance abuse “for years.”

More from ET’s source:

[Heather’s daughter] Ava begged her mom to go to rehab. After Heather finally agreed, Ava went away with her father [Richie Sambora] to get a break from it all.

[She] wants her mother to get clean and sober once and for all. Richie is done helping. He is happy to be with Ava and is focusing on taking time out to spend time with his daughter during a very difficult time. Her family feels like she needs to cut herself off from some ‘not so healthy’ friends and start a cleaner life. They are rallying around her in hopes this time will be different and she will complete her program.

Thankful for you

It was Heather’s brother who initially called 911 after he arrived at her house and witnessed Heather and Chris Heisser fighting. (That’s Chris with Heather in the photo above.) When police arrived, they observed a visible mark on Chris, so they arrested Heather for the incident. Heather lashed out while being restrained, attacking three officers in total and making her shooting threat.

Heather showed no visible injuries, but she was taken to a local hospital for evaluation. She was then charged with felony domestic violence as well as three misdemeanor charges of battery on a peace officer.

Chris Heisser was arrested for DUI less than an hour later. He was booked and released.

Heather Locklear’s next scheduled court date is March 13.
