The Jersey Shore reunion that has been teased for months is finally happening! E! has released the first preview clips for Reunion Road Trip: Return to the Jersey Shore, which airs August 20.
According to E!, the special will reunite Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Jenni “JWoww” Farley, Paul “Pauly D” DelVecchio, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino and Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola “rehashing what went on in the house that viewers didn’t see as well as updating each other on their current relationships.”
(Jersey Shore fans will be able to deduce from that list of cast members that several Guidos and Guidettes from the show have been left out: Vinny Guadagnino, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, Deena Nicole Cortese, and Angelina Pivarnick.)

And if you’re having any doubts about the cast being able to recreate that on-screen magic that made the show one of the biggest phenomenons in reality television history, just watch their Burger King chicken Parm family dinner video and your doubts will be completely erased — I promise.
* As excited as I am to watch the Road Trip special, I have to confess it’s going to be REALLY weird watching the Jersey Shore OGs on a network that isn’t MTV.
