It looks like the Duggar family will be celebrating their next wedding a lot sooner than anyone thought! Despite their online wedding registry suggesting a wedding date in October, Counting On couple Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsythe will reportedly be getting married well before then — like this Saturday!
The scoop comes via the Duggar Family News (Life is not all pickles and hairspray) Facebook page, which has quite the proven track record with Duggar insider information. “I heard from a Duggar insider that Joy’s wedding will be next week,” the page reports. “I’m guessing that means Saturday, May 20th.” The post was later updated: “It’s been confirmed. The wedding is this Saturday.”
The page reveals a few more not-so-specific details, as well as a not-so-supportive message for Joy-Anna:
It seems like the wedding will be held close to the Duggar compound since the source said guests will be at the compound before and after the wedding. That’s all I know right now except I hope Joy gets up the nerve to run before then and live the life God gave her not the one arranged for her by her fruitcake dad.
Speculation that the wedding might be happening soon ramped up after the Duggars were photographed at Renee’s Bridal in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky earlier this month. And then TLC shared a video revealing that the couple had a joint bachelor/bachelorette party at his parents’ Fort Rock family campground:
“Wedding planning is going great so far!” Joy-Anna says in the clip. “I think Austin has been helping out more than he thought he would be — he’s been a part of a lot of it.”
So, what is Austin most excited about as far as actually getting married? “I think I’m most looking forward to the fact that it will be day number one of spending the rest of my life with this beautiful young lady,” he says, “and that I have finally married the woman of my dreams.”
It is believed that Derrick and Jill Dillard will be returning in time for the nuptials, but that has not been confirmed. Jill is currently pregnant and due in July, and she has previously stated that she plans to return to the US before giving birth, so the timing does seem to fit.
Well, Duggarazzi, you know what you need to do! Get them cameras packed and get yourself to Arkansas pronto!
