21-year-old Courtney Stodden’s mom Krista Keller finally has some regrets about allowing her 16-year-old daughter to marry 51-year-old Doug Hutchison–now that they’re no longer speaking to each other, that is.
“I believe there are external influences[,] without any names being said,” Krista told Radar. “I do not believe mothers and daughters should be separated.”
“I think that if a husband can see that there are problems between his wife and her mother[…]I believe he should stay out of the situation,” Krista said. “There are some really horrible things that he has done to me since she and I have not been speaking that will be very hard to ever forget about.”
Krista does recognized that she had a role in this. “I do take full responsibility, however[,] because I am the one that did sign the paper for her to marry this man,” she says. “If I had to do it all over again[,] I cannot tell you if I would be signing that paper.”
Courtney and Doug broke up briefly after she appeared on UK’s Celebrity Big Brother in 2013 and decided she needed some independence, but the couple reunited in 2014 and have been strong every since.
This June, mom Krista said she was looking to adopt a 42-year-old man.
