Fixer Upper‘s Joanna Gaines has won widespread praise for her interior design work, which combines refined elegance and the practicality of the everyday into something HGTV has dubbed “messy midcentury modern.” If you’re one of the millions who’ve fallen for Joanna’s aesthetic, you are in luck–because the Magnolia Mom is making a little bit more of her vision available to consumers nationwide.
Recently, Joanna teamed with Standard Furniture to create a line of her own furniture–pieces that, according to the press release, will “embod[y] her lifestyle centering on home and family,” and “reflect…her style and designs…in every piece.”
It’s almost too good to believe for the Fixer Upper star, who said “This is a dream come true….I have always wanted my style to be accessible and available to those looking for new design solutions for their homes.”
And Standard president Todd Evans heaped praise on Gaines, saying “Joanna Gaines will bring an element to the furniture business that is unrivaled. Her design style and enthusiasm for creating a lifestyle that promotes home and family will resonate with people of all walks of life.”
So: when and where will the furniture be available? Joanna herself addressed this question in a recent Q&A update on her blog:
Janet Springer asked: “We hear about your new furniture line, will it be available outside of Texas and how much involvement do you have in the design?”
Yes! It will be available to all retailers in October at the High Point Furniture Market in North Carolina. Your local retailers can carry the Magnolia Home furnishings and accessories. I am currently working with an artist almost every evening with design on each and every piece. I really want every piece to have detail and design that tells a story.
We also know that the Magnolia Home portion of the High Point Furniture Market will feature a hefty 15,000 square feet of Fixer Upper-styled goodies. (You can see the empty warehouse getting ready for Joanna’s product in the photo above.)
As far as availability beyond just High Point NC (plus–we assume–the new silo-based Magnolia Market in downtown Waco), Standard promises “a stunning assortment of bedroom, dining, occasional and upholstered accent pieces that will hit the retail market in January 2016.”
Unfortunately, neither Standard nor Joanna have yet shared photographs of the furniture. There will, however, be five different styles on offer: Cottage, Farmhouse, Industrial, Modern Boho, and Vintage.
