There have been all kinds of reports swirling about that Jay Leno will be moving back to his 11:30PM time slot with a half hour show and Conan O’Brien, who replaced Leno as host of The Tonight Show, would be given the choice of either get bumped to midnight or packing his bags and leaving. Here is a video from tonight’s episode of The Tonight Show:
There was a tinge of bitterness in Conan’s humor, especially in the last “rumor” on his list:
“NBC is going to throw me and Jay in a pit with sharpened sticks. The one who crawls out alive gets to leave NBC.”
He follows it up by saying, “That is an appealing proposition.”
Hmmmm.

I know that everyone is wondering what’s going on with all the rumors floating around, and although I haven’t been able to speak to them (because I am merely a guy who writes a blog and wears novelty watches and drinks gravy all day), I WOULD like to say, from me personally, THANK YOU for showing your support, y’all! Just because I don’t reply on Twitter or Facebook or Myspace or Friendster (Friendster?) I don’t want you to think that I don’t read all that stuff. I do. I see it all, and it means a lot. I’ve said it many times before, but it still bears repeating: You guys are extremely great and generous fans, and we are lucky to have you. Thanks for everything.I’d ALSO like to say that Conan addresses some of the late night rumors that are swirling about on tonight’s show – and we’ll be posting a special early clip of that right here a little later tonight, so be on the lookout! (I’ll also let you all know via Twitter when the clip is up). So… That’s exciting! 😉
