Whereas Justin Bieber saw red and blue police lights when he got pulled over last week, passenger Chantel Jeffries apparently just saw green.
According to Page Six, the 21-year-old model immediately began shopping her side of the arrest story.
“She hired an attorney and was negotiating a deal with the weekly magazines and the big TV shows,” one source said. “She wanted $20,000 plus a guaranteed mention of her modeling career.”
Another insider said “all the networks” refused to pay Chantel, but they continued to have discussions about a possible appearance until Monday. At that point, Chantel and her attorney abruptly cut off communication.
As Page Six noted, Chantel may have withdrawn from conversations because she was preoccupied by her romantic getaway to Panama with Justin: They were photographed together on the beach on Monday before Justin filmed a video and Chantel lounged on a balcony.
Although that’s a reasonable theory, another possible explanation is that she managed to strike a deal with one of the news sources… Time will tell.
