Rapper and chronic face puncher Chris Brown has checked himself out of an anger management rehabilitation facility in Malibu and will continue to receive treatment on an outpatient basis while he completes his community service obligations stemming from his brutal beating of then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009. (In case you missed it, Brown was ordered to redo 1,000 hours of his initial 1,400-hour sentence after a judge determined in August that Brown had submitted false reports.)
“Chris is continuing his rehab program as an outpatient and is also completing his community service in the Los Angeles area,” Brown’s rep said in a statement. “He appreciates all of your encouragement and support.”
It was initially reported that Brown might need to remain in anger management rehab for as long as three months, but his community service obligations cut his in-patient stay to 16 days.
News of Brown’s early release actually came thanks to photos posted on Twitter by @PlataformaChris late last night. In one of the photos Chris can be seen posing with a fan, and in the other he appears to be eating dinner:
