Amy Schumer puts teen film critic on blast over sexist tweet
Amy Schumer knows a thing or two about the difference between a well-played joke and a joke that’s in poor taste. Unfortunately for one teenage film critic, he chose the latter.
Seventeen-year-old Jackson Murphy had the good fortune to meet Schumer on the red carpet at the Critics’ Choice Awards. He posted a pic of the pair together and decided it would be a good idea to say this–and to tag Amy:
Spent the night with @amyschumer. Certainly not the first guy to write that.
Amy certainly took notice and had the following to say as she put the youngster in his place:
I get it. Cause I’m a wh0re? Glad I took a photo with you. Hi to your dad.
When Schumer’s Twitter fans started calling Murphy out, he quickly did his best to apologize for the gaff.
I truly apologize for the tweet I posted earlier. I’m not a comedian and it wasn’t funny. @amyschumer

@LCJReviews that’s really okay honey. I just remember thinking you and your dad were sweet and it was a bummer to read that

Credit to the kid for apologizing. Let’s hope he’s learned his lesson.
