Fans of Southern Charm know Landon was previously married to a wealthy businessman and lived the high life in California. What viewers may not know is that Landon acted as a stepmom to her ex-husband’s daughter.
As it turns out, Landon was James Maby’s second wife. He was previously married to Stacey Dash. Yes, that Stacey Dash, the actress from Clueless turned conservative social commentator. O!HitS dished all about it last year.
James and Stacey were together in the early 2000’s. While they were dating, Stacey became pregnant and gave birth to their daughter Lola. Following Lola’s arrival, the couple wed in 2005 but divorced the following year.
Landon met James not long after his divorce from Stacey. Landon and James eventually got married in 2008 making Landon an official stepmom to Lola. Their marriage lasted four years before James filed for divorce.
Unless you’ve done some online digging, you wouldn’t know James had a daughter and Landon was a stepmom. But leave it to Kathryn to bring up the past…
In a preview clip for the Southern Charm reunion part two, Landon admits that she doesn’t know if she will ever be a mother to which Kathryn replies, “Well good for you because you were fired as stepmother!”
Landon still has a picture of Lola on her Instagram. The photo was posted over three years ago and shows Lola smiling happily during the holidays.

Perhaps this helps explain one of the reasons Landon is so critical of Kathryn as a mom— because she used to be a stepmom herself!
