Sister Wives Meri Brown affair update: Catfish writing book, says he/she loved Meri ‘with all my heart’

On tonight’s Sister Wives season finale, star Meri Brown finally admitted on camera to an emotional affair with a businessman named Samuel Cooper (inset above). As you may already know, it is believed that this businessman named “Sam” Cooper is actually a woman named Jacquelyn “Jackie” Overton (mug shot inset above).

“I got into this place where I was talking to different people on social media,” Meri says to the camera. “And I got into this situation in talking to one person who really made me trust him. He was just saying all the right things, being very kind and very compassionate, and understanding. I trusted him. We kind of just started talking online, and…I laughed.”

Meri adds in another voice over, “I’m in this place where I just feel alone. Isolated. Lonely. I don’t feel like anybody else in the family can even relate.”

In a meeting with Kody and her other sister wives, Meri opened up. “I’m feeling at a place of limbo right now,” Meri tells the others. “I don’t know what I need to do, is what I’m saying. I’m going to be doing something, but I don’t know what it is that I need to do.”

A very emotional Meri reveals to the camera, “You know, I wake up in the morning and I turn the music on in my house so that I can have some noise, because it’s just quiet. It’s lonely. I just, I just feel lonely. I’m just, I’m just alone so much of the time.”

Meanwhile, this Samuel Cooper persona (whoever he/she is) continues to release intimate details of his (we’ll just go with the male pronoun) affair with Meri on social media and on his blog, NotBatmanYet.com. (The photos of Meri in this post were allegedly sent to him by her during their relationship.) In a recent post by Sam, he says “I’m not tearing her down or trying to make her look bad. I’m telling the truth as I know it. I’m posting what she voluntarily sent to me.”

Samuel says that the entire affair has made his life miserable. “My family is upset, my employees are questioning me, my clients are not sure what to believe and all of this will have a permanent gravestone on the internet forever,” Sam writes. “My name and the word catfish will live forever. How am I ever going to live a normal life, now?”

So why did he out Meri and post all of the photos, texts, letters, and voice messages? Was that not an attack on Meri? “I’m not tearing her down or trying to make her look bad. I’m telling the truth as I know it. I’m posting what she voluntarily sent to me.”

More from Sam:

The woman that once loved me more than she has ever loved another human being, other than her daughter, wants to destroy every part of my life. She is doing all she can to set herself up the innocent victim and preparing America to witness the “real story” behind all the headlines. I can’t wait to hear from my lawyers, my family, and my friends how it all plays out. I have not watched any of this show this season. I’m done watching it. I can’t stomach it after learning all the things I learned about it. Reality tv is not real. It has portions that are real, but for the most part it is an edited version with scripts and scheduled “family events” to keep people interested in watching. To keep the advertisers $$$ flowing. Because money can be the most important thing to some people. Then came this one little problem of total and complete humiliation and embarrassment all over the tv, newsstand, and internet. It is affecting me. And I don’t like it. But like everything else I have no control over any of it. I just have to wait it out. My 15 seconds of fame has turned into almost 3 months of fame I don’t want to be known for. All I can do to fight all of this is to post facts and truth as I know it. That’s the only reason this is on my blog.

And as soon as the last show gets aired I will delete it all. Because it won’t matter anymore. But right now, we are immersed in it.

For about the 100th time:

I did not catfish her. I am not a catfish. And I am a guy named Samuel.

I have said that all along. I have answered questions from her fans, I have texted, called, been called, skyped, video skyped, facetimed, and ran into a few people that want to know more about this. People want to know and I don’t understand why. It’s none of their business.

Although Sam claims that he will soon be deleting his blog, that doesn’t mean he is done publicly documenting his take on his affair with Meri Brown. According to his website, Sam has signed a book deal! And he is already hard at work:

November 13, 2015:

I started writing tonight. I have all of my Chapters planned out. I just need to fill them up. I struggled starting but once I began it kind of just flowed. I’m almost done with Chapter 1. It’s exciting and fun. I love to learn the process. This is not something I have ever done before. I have help set up for the times when I need to send things to be edited. I think I can knock out 2 or 3 chapters soon.

November 14, 2015:

Chapter 1 of my book is done. At least the first draft. 9 more chapters to go. I hope to get another one finished by tomorrow. Tomorrow night I am going to Church and have a dinner to go to afterwards. Then I’ll be driving down to my condo so I am ready for work on Monday. I will be in town all next week then I’m off again.

In case you missed it, the woman who was allegedly catfishing Meri and pretending to be Sam, Jacquelyn “Jackie” Overton, was arrested last month in Oklahoma. The charges were not related to her affair with Meri, however, and she was soon released.
