Chris Brown gets F-16 jet tattoo on his chest, similar to Rihanna’s Isis chest tattoo

Rihanna and Chris Brown together

Is it just us or does Chris Brown seem a bit desperate to get back with his former girlfriend/assault victim Rihanna, even though he is currently in a relationship with Karrueche Tran? The former couple have been rumored to be having secret flings for months now, and during last week’s MTV VMAs, the pair even shared a kiss for the world to see. Following the award show, Chris has gotten two tattoos, both of which seem to be connected to his former love.

The first tattoo Chris debuted was on the right side of his neck, and many thought it looked eerily similar to the photos that had been released of Rihanna’s bruised and beaten face after Chris’ infamous February 2009 attack following a pre-Grammy party. However, Chris denied the claims, telling Gossip Cop that the tattoo “is not Rihanna or an abused woman as erroneously reported.” Chris’ tattoo artist also released a statement claiming he would never promote domestic violence.

Next, Rihanna debuted a new tattoo of her own — a photo of Goddess Isis on her lower rib cage. She posted the photo to her Instagram account along with the caption, “Goddess Isis- Complete Woman – Model for future generations- #GRANGRANDOLLY – always in and on my heart #1love.”

It’s a beautiful tattoo and the positioning is very unique, unique enough that when Chris debuted a tattoo in the same spot just a few days later, people found it to be a bit odd. Is he copying RiRi or is just a really gigantic coincidence? Chris’ tattoo is of a fighter jet and as you can see from the photos below, it has the same general shape of Rihanna’s — perhaps the F-16 could even be regarded as the contemporary male equivalent to Isis?

To play the devil’s advocate a bit, we do have to point out that Chris has been working on covering the front half of his body and has been working his way down from the collar bone writing he had gotten first, so the fighter jet is in the next logical place. (“We found ink in a logical place”)

The issue of Rihanna going back to her abuser is always a touchy subject — especially since so many young, impressionable girls look up to her. But hey, if they want to copy each other’s ink and collaborate on a single every now and again, more power to them. As long as no one is getting hurt. Right?
