Before being allowed to zoom off in the white SUV, the man who has been charged with second-degree murder of Trayvon Martin was fitted with an ankle monitoring bracelet. He is also required by the court to stay within the boundaries of Seminole County.
Yesterday, the court granted this possibility after Circuit Court Judge Kenneth R. Lester, Jr. ordered Zimmerman’s bond raised to $1 million following revelations that the accused and his wife, Shellie Zimmerman, misled the court about their finances during a previous bond hearing.
Zimmerman’s attorney, Don West, described his client’s emotional state as, “buoyant.”
