PHOTOS Farrah Abraham launches Mom & Me brand Italian hot pepper sauce

Teen Momtrepreneur Farrah Abraham is at it again! The reality star revealed today that she will be launching a line of food products under the “Mom & Me” brand name, the first of which will be an Italian hot pepper sauce. The logo features the above photo of Farrah, daughter Sophia, mom Debra Danielsen, and her grandmother Carmella – four generations of women.

Here is an introduction to the brand from Farrah’s mom Debra:

Hi everyone,

It is early 2012 and we are working hard to bring our mom&me brand to market that includes family recipes from Carlentini, Italy. Our first delicious recipe is an Italian Hot Pepper Sauce featuring a photo of four generations of women from our family (see attached). The four generations photo includes Carmella, Debra, Farrah, and Sophia with our family sauce. We are all passionate about good food and sharing it with friends, family, and those who enjoy life.

When my great grandparents came to America, they brought the clothes on their backs along with their hopes and dreams for a brighter future. Every year my grandfather had a marvelous garden. He grew hot banana peppers, juicy sweet tomatoes, onions, and garlic. My grandmother blended these ingredients together to create a sauce that we enjoy pouring on Italian bread, sausages, meats, and chips. We can’t wait to share this sauce with you.

We will keep you updated on our progress and experience in bringing this family recipe to market. Please let us know what you think of the DRAFT Label I have posted.

I think the labels look great! I love the Italian flag colors and the burlap background texturing is nice. Kudos to the ladies for choosing a solid graphic design person.

Here are some of the details about the sauce from the label:

Mom & Me Italian Hot Pepper Sauce
Gluten Free and All Natural

Serving Suggestions:
Italian bread dipping, hot dogs or hamburgers, chip dipping, on nachos, over Italian sausages, or on anything that needs spicing up!

Ingredients:
Cayenne peppers, vinegar, water, corn syrup, brown sugar, margarine, garlic powder, corn starch.

And in case you were wondering just how hot this hot sauce is…

The results for the Scoville Heat Scale show our Italian Hot Pepper Sauce is spicy and mildly hot. The sauce is a great flavor enhancer for meat dishes, on sauages, hot dogs, hamburgers, and chips.

Once again I applaud Farrah for her entrepreneurial spirit! She is without peer among her Teen Mom and Teen Mom 2 sisters as far as trying to convert her reality show fame into a sustainable business venture outside of reality TV. (Seriously, this label looks professional – I could see it selling on store shelves easily. I just need to know who to contact to get a sample bottle!)

Now if Farrah can learn to control some of the stupid things that come out of her mouth, she’ll be good. I’m glad she’s doing well. But it does not help MTV when the network tries to show that teen moms have it so hard because clearly they don’t when they are on a hit TV show.

The label does look nice, but I think the super posed picture of them featured so prominently on it is a little weird….especially if I saw it at the grocery store and had no idea who they are…

We have a local company much like this in our area. But you know what, good for her. Most teen-aged moms don’t get an opportunity like this- and Farah has been open about wanting to involve her child in her culinary business.

Also- Debra is lookin hot!

I’d rather her work hard on this brand, than open her own restaurant. I don’t think she could handle daily customers and their expectations, in any way shape or form, but I think with her schooling, she could prepared for dealing with wholesalers and grocery store chains…

As much as I don’t like Farrah’s stank attitude toward her family, and the fact she has zero friends speaks volumes more, I’m glad to see her succeeding and working hard toward her goals.

I think its great that Farrah, the only one from season 1 who’s child’s father truly isn’t there, Ryan is there, Gary is a single dad at the time, Josh and Weston both take care of their kids part time and Tyler gave his up for adoption, and I think its great that she is most successful of all 6 of them, graduated high school, AND COLLEGE, none of the others from her season are even in college, unless Whitney is, I dont keep up with her!

-corn syrup (GLUTEN!) – UNNECESSARY and will destroy your health

The sauce is industrial tripe that will increase your blood pressure and blood sugar levels and increase the risk for heart and arterial diseases, AVOID!

A product is only gluten-free (or organic, or lactose-free, etc) when EACH INDIVIDUAL INGREDIENT on the label is specifically certified as being gluten-free
