EXCLUSIVE: Farrah Abraham splits from boyfriend, gets new TV show?

Teen Mom Farrah Abraham split with Marcel Kaminstein, the jewelry entrepreneur she met on JDate and started dating in early December. According to a statement Marcel sent starcasm.net, they broke up amicably right before New Year’s.

Marcel Kaminstein and Farrah Abraham call it quits in an amicable split just before New Years.

I wish her the best for her future ahead and for her new TV show.

New TV show? Is Farrah trying to launch her cooking show? Does she have another reality show in the works? We’re waiting to hear back what kind of new TV show Farrah is involved with.

The break-up was hinted at by Farrah on New Years Eve when she tweeted that it was just her and Sophia partying together: tweeting “Count Down!! Soph & I have our Bottle of Bubbly Grape ready to pop! Hope everyone has a great night CHEERS! ”

UPDATE - Marcel was nice enough to get back with us and continued to be respectful to Farrah by not divulging any more info on her new TV show. (Farrah seems to be getting a lot better at amicable break ups!) Marcel told us, “Can’t comment on her work. She’s a great mom, smart and caring, and she will have a great career ahead.”

  Farrah’s claim to fame is nothing, absolutely nothing more than getting pregnant at 16.
  She exploits her child, exploits the tragedy of her child’s fathers untimely death, and speaks to her parents like they are scum.
  In addition to add insult to injury she does not allow the father’s dear mother to see her child for no apparent reason.
  Farrah is a selfish, selfish person.
  I have followed her story for way too long, as I was a teen mom and she makes me sick.
  I hope young teens do not look up to her as any type of role model.
  She is not a role model, and really not a very good person.
  Wake up Farrah., think about Sophia without that thing stuffed in her mouth all the time.
  And if you have a soul, make amends with Derrek’s mother.
  Sophia will despise you later in her life for keeping her away.

  I don’t know Farrah, and have no clue who she is or what makes her remotely interesting for the public. I do know Marcel – if Farrah used him for her jewelry line, then finally Marcel met someone who used him. But based on what I’ve been reading about them, they were both in it for something. Marcel rarely does anything without a selfish motivation. He’s not what he’s painted up to be. During this whole thing he was having a child with another woman.

She is so spoiled it sickens me. I just Cant stand how she treats her parents like crap and they are so good to her. I mean her moms a lil nuts so i see where she gets it but still…and it seems like she makes decisions and only worrys about herself and how it will affect her. her poor daughters just along for the ride. Like she didnt wanna leave Sophia with her grandparents NOT because she loves her so much she Cant stand to be apart from her BUT because she felt like others would view her as a bad mother..too late for that sweety.

  FINALLY someone else sees that she treats her parents like crap! The way she speaks to them is disgusting to me. She is so lucky to have parents that are supportive of their 16 year old daughter who got pregnant. My parents wouldn’t have been so supportive. She is spoiled and a snob. She only cares about herself and the way she looks. Did she really need a boob job?? She could have used that money for her daughter. What really sucks is I can’t stop watching her because she is like a train wreck and I can’t take my eyes off of it! Her relationships in general do not seem to stick. She’s at least been focused on a career and better life for she and Sophia which is more than most of the other teen moms can say. Very immature with relationships though, especially when it comes to her bratty ways with her parents.

@ ” A teen mom” : I completely agree with you. Farrah needs to stop exploiting the death of Sophia’s father just for sympathy. We don’t know Derek’s family’s side of the story, only what Farrah has said about them. From what I have read, Derek’s mother seems genuine.
It’s obvious WHY her and Farrah don’t get along. Farrah is so very selfish. I’ve seen the homemade videos of Derek made by his mother. She included Farrah. Farrah needs to get over herself and let Soph see her grandmother. I feel that Farrah wants to, but she knows that her mother Debra is so jealous of Sophia having another grandmother.

You guys are probably all right. Obviously people who have seen her on a television show know her better than an ex-boyfriend. (insert sarcasm) She is obviously happier in Florida, and the split must have been mutual as Marcel has only nice things to say about Farrah. I wish her the best! I have a soft spot for Farrah and can really relate with her. Plus, she seems love Sophia to death and is a lot happier. I try not to judge any of the girls on footage that was from over a year ago. And since Farrah isn’t somebody who comments to the public a lot, I have to go off of pictures, which she always seems happy in lately!

P.S. Possibly the “New TV Show” is going to be a Teen Mom Adaptation. Maci and Amber want out, and Catelynn is boring. Chelsea could easily be kicked off Teen Mom 2, so they should just do Leah, Farrah, Jenelle, and Kail. You’re getting basically every situation with those 4 girls (a marriage, unexpected lack of a dad, dad walks out, good example of co-parenting). I’d love the show if it was those 4 girls!

Anyone think that maybe Farrah doesn’t want to let Derek’s mom see Sophia because the grandmother claimed that Sophia wasn’t Derek’s when Farrah tried to get social security money for Sophia, I mean that just makes sense to me.

Did anyone even watch 16 and pregnant when Farrah had Derek’s voice recorded on the show being a complete b#tch to him? He didn’t even know she was pregnant. When he asked her she said no she wasn’t pregnant. And then he passed. She will have to live with that for the rest of her life!
So how would Derek’s mom know that Sophia was her granddaughter? Farrah was dating other boys at that time. Get a clue people and watch the very first show!!

Farrah has So much growing up to do. She is and has always thought of herself. Sophia has been lugged around and forced to be in front of cameras her whole life and not live a normal childhood.
Farrah wouldn’t be making any money if it weren’t for Sophia. Sophia will see all of this when she is old enough. Children need to have stability not hostility and abnormality.
MTV needs to bring this ridiculous TV show to an end! The teen moms are profiting off of their babies and that should be against the law!
