The Boss Third Annual Boston College Bar Band Bash

Living legend Bruce Springsteen made glorious noise once again down along the shore at one of his most famous old stomping grounds, the Stone Pony. This time it was the Third Annual Boston College Bar Band Bash.

Wait a minute? Why’s the Bossman rockin’ the Pony for Boston College you ask? Well his oldest son Evan attends the school and Springsteen has done a fair share of local live gigs to help support the edifying establishments that his children attend. Like the man says in his song “Ain’t Got You” he gets paid a king’s ransom for doing what comes naturally. He might as well do his thing and help out his kid’s institutions of learning while he’s at it!

“Holy mother of pearl, what a show.”

Springsteen was joined on stage by Bobby Bandiera’s band along with E Street blood brothers Max Weinberg and Roy Bittan. In addition, Steve Barlotta added tenor sax to “Seven Nights to Rock” and Red Bank Rocker J.T. Bowen took a soul singer guest spot and brought it hard with “Soul Man.”
