VIDEO & PHOTOS Joseph Sean McVey arrested with gun at Asheville airport; wanted to meet Obama
Joseph Sean McVey, 23, of Coshocton, Ohio was arrested Sunday afternoon in the parking lot of Asheville Regional Airport just after President Barack Obama had departed in Air Force One after vacationing in Asheville for the weekend.
Around 2 p.m. airport police saw McVey get out of a maroon colored car with Ohio plates carrying a sidearm. Police and Secret Service questioned McVey, who said he wanted to meet President Obama.
The car McVey was driving had police-style LED strobe lights mounted in the front and rear dash, four antennas on the trunk and a working siren box under the steering wheel. Here is a photo of his infamous Pontiac he posted on Twitter:

Also found in the car were rifle scopes which are calculations used by gunmen to shoot targets at long range. There are no reports that McVey had a rifle or an actual scope with him at the time of his arrest.
Friends of McVey say that he was an avid Ham radio operator with the callsign K8JSM and he often assisted his local sheriff’s department with traffic control at emergency scene locations through the volunteer group REACT. They claim McVey was also a severe storm chaser, which would explain the camera on the dash and possibly the rifle scope calculations.
