VIDEO – Sane Lindsay Lohan’s Extra interview: full of humility and wisdom?

Maybe Lindsay Lohan, finally, after many years of faux hope, is back on track to being a healthy and sane individual who achieves success in her career (a plus bonus!)

Before Lindsay chose to handle her precarious legal and sober situations by claiming that everything was fine and that she’s working really hard. She would follow up with desperate-sexy photoshoots and unanswered pleas to start projects with people like Seth Rogen, and then would be caught by the paparazzi stumbling around and stalking her ex-girlfriend Samantha Ronson. Her dad would then call up every media outlet he knew and notify them that his daughter was on pills. It was a sad ride.

Now she’s been to jail, rehab, back to rehab, and may potentially be going back to jail for allegedly stealing a necklace, and it seems as if she’s finally learned a thing or two.

On a taped interview with Extra (airing in two parts: Tuesday and Wednesday) Lindsay responded to a question about who she wanted to work with this way:

“That’s something I will be able to say when I’ve taken the steps I need to take to prove that I can be insurable again. I think that will come in time, where I’ll be in the position to even say that because I don’t think I am right now. I don’t think that will be fair to just say ‘Oh, this is who I want to work with’ and except that to happen. No, I have to build my way back up.”

Another pearl of wisdom (no saracasm) from Lindz:

“There’s always bumps that we have in the road,. As long as I’m focusing [on my recovery,] I’m doing good and that’s most important for me.”

Negative behavior always leads to more press coverage, but hopefully Lindsay will continue to work on her own health and happiness that will lead her to more positive things. Give us more positive things to talk about with you Lindsay!
