VIDEO Roger Mathews on JWoww divorce: ‘I’m not done fighting. I’m gonna win my wife back.’

Roger Mathews JWoww divorce statement video

It was revealed today that Jersey Shore star Jenni “JWoww” Farley filed for divorce earlier this month. Roger Mathews, her husband of almost three years, just posted a video on Instagram explaining why they split and assuring his followers that he is not done fighting to save their marriage.

Roger seems very weary in the clip, and begins rather bitterly: “Alright, so here you go you butt thirsty bastards who have to know what’s going on. You’re the same people that go to a hockey game just to see a fight break out and go to NASCAR to see somebody wreck a car and get mangled.”

Roger then admits he was over-reacting a bit. “Nah, I’m kidding. Some of you probably are actually genuinely concerned. I appreciate that.”

He moves on to the topic at hand: “Um, my wife filed for divorce. Its true. I’m just going to keep it simple.” Roger seems very humble, and he’s quick to admit his role in the split in addition to not passing judgment on JWoww for filing the divorce papers. “I don’t blame her,” he says, before getting into the explanation.

“There’s no cheating or any dumb sh*t and any juicy details. “It’s — It’s — She just grew tired of the repetitive pattern that we fell into with, umm — again, I’m not going to get into detail, but it was a repetitive pattern and not a good one.”

Roger then asserts that although JWoww has filed for the dissolution of their marriage, he is still doing everything he can to save their marriage. “But, here’s what’s also true,” he says. “I’m not done fighting. I’m gonna win my wife back. I’m gonna win her affection back. I’m gonna win her love back. I have no intentions of being a single dad.”

Roger reveals the two are seeking third party help. “We’re in counseling, so there is hope,” he says. Roger concludes his message with the adage: “It ain’t over until the fat lady sings.”

“Praying for a better tomorrow,” Roger wrote in the caption. “Sorry world, I’m taking a day off from praying for you today and I’m just gonna pray for my family. Hope springs eternal.”

JWoww has remained silent on social media, and I do not believe she or her rep have issued a statement since the news of the divorce broke hours ago.
