VIDEO PHOTOS Jennifer Garner’s baby bump is real, she confirms
Apparent superwoman Jennifer Garner stars in the upcoming Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day, supports husband Ben Affleck with his movie projects, raises three kids and — yes — has a baby bump!
The actress confirmed reports of her baby bump to the crowd at The Ellen DeGeneres Show this week to applause from the audience.
“I’m here to tell you that I do — I do,” she said of whether or not she has a baby bump. After a suspenseful pause, she continued, “Hold up. Hold right up! I am not pregnant, but I have had three kids and there is a bump. From now on ladies, I will have a bump. And it will be my baby bump. And let’s just all settle in and get used to it. It’s not going anywhere. I have a bump. Its name is Violet, Sam, Sera. Well, but I see you guys are really eager for us to pop out another one. Gosh, you’re exhausting!”
How perfect of a response is that? I love Jennifer’s willingness to poke fun at the situation, even if it was entirely unnecessary for her to even respond: I think baby bump stories are generally just cruel, sly ways for some tabloids to criticize women’s bodies. Heck, if I was monitored as constantly as many celebrities, someone could probably decide I look pregnant a few times a month. And, besides, Jennifer really does look great. Here’s a picture from the same set recently used to suggest she’s expecting baby No. 4…
Ellen thinks the same: “You look fantastic and it really is crazy that people are looking for something and saying that you have a baby bump… Anyway, thanks for clearing it up. So, you will have a baby bump forever.”
“Yes, forever and ever,” Jen said, adding she’ll go forth looking like “a camel, but in reverse.”
