It’s been six years since Kate Gosselin and Jon Gosselin went their separate ways. According to Kate, she is still single — but she really doesn’t like reminders of that.
“I want people to stop asking me if I’m dating. I would like that to end,” Kate told a friend during dinner for her 40th birthday trip to Mexico. “Don’t they realize that after five years, that offends me? It’s annoying. And it’s a reminder that I’m, ‘Here I am, it’s just me!'”
In the preview clip, Kate added she would like to be in a relationship, but that doesn’t change the facts.
Also on her interview blacklist? Her “ex situations.”
“I don’t define myself with that,” Kate said. “And you do know that I’ve been divorced for five years….[They’ve] been the greatest five years of my life.”
Even though Kate is done talking about Jon, it certainly doesn’t seem to be true the other way around: In a recent interview with Go To Whitney, Jon actually complimented his ex-wife for her run on Celebrity Apprentice, but said he could probably do better. The DJ explained, “I have a little more street skills, a little more street knowledge, so maybe that would help me in the big game.”
Jon also said he wants to dispel the rumor he cheated on Kate during their marriage. He said, “That’s always been brought into the present and into the future….But that’s what everyone talks about, how I cheated on my ex-wife. I would never do that.”
Although he declined to talk about his current custody battle with Kate, Jon said he continues to move forward with his life and is dating a new woman.
