It seems the cat is out of the bag on the outcome of Season 14 of The Bachelor. Since his first detailed spoiler post waaaay back on January 6, blogger Reality Steve has claimed Vienna Girardi is the final choice of Jake Pavelka, he just wasn’t sure of the details. Did Jake Pavleka propose to Vienna? Did they merely agree to continue dating and see where it leads? Did Ali return with a baseball bat and take Jake back by force?
Someway, somehow ABC was able to keep it a mystery, even from the well-sourced Reality Steve – up until now. (Actually, up until last week.)
The blogger now confirms that “not only are Jake and Vienna together and happy, but they are engaged.” There you have it folks! That is sure to anger the billions and billions of Vienna haters out there, but I agree with Steve’s guess that Jake and Vienna will break up before too long and Jake will crash Ali’s Bachelorette show in attempt to win back her heart. (Taping on that begins next month, so the timing seems just about right.)
I don’t know about you folks, but I’m beginning to get the impression that this whole show is meticulously scripted and is basically The Hills with fewer peripheral characters. I’m even getting suspicious that they’ve worked Reality Steve into their plans, whether he knows it or not. His “spoilers” seem to allow for a whole different level of fan and gets the media machinations and scrutiny started early on the final contestants. (All this stuff with Vienna and Rozlyn began before the first episode even aired and they’re still diggin’ stuff up!)
Speaking for myself, I know I’ve enjoyed all this spoiling and extracurricular drama way more than watching the actual show! I kinda can’t wait ’til next season.
