SISTER WIVES Meri Brown’s mom passes away at 76
Sister Wives star Meri Brown announced earlier today that her mother, Bonnie Ahlstrom, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 76.
Meri shared the news on Facebook with photo of herself and her mother together at Meri’s bed and breakfast, Lizzie’s Heritage Inn. As many fans of Sister Wives are probably aware, Bonnie served as innkeeper for Lizzie’s.
Meri’s statement:
76 years and 17 days was not enough time for the world to feel the beautiful spirit of this beautiful woman. This woman whose life mission was to give, to love, to serve. This woman who only knew how to do for others. This woman who would drop everything for you. This woman who was strong, resilient, compassionate. This woman who was a safe place to land, no matter where, no matter when. This woman, this beautiful woman, my morn. She left us suddenly, unexpected, and extremely way too soon and I literally don’t know how I’m going to do the rest of my life without her.
Mom, I love you beyond the words I can express here, but I know you know that. You are loved, you are missed, and I know you are so happy celebrating on the other side with dad, hugging your daughter and son who left us too soon, reuniting with your parents, and getting to know your dad. Love them all, hug them all, and be happy. Or rather, just continue filling that space around you with the light that you always do.
I love you Mom!

The social media pages for Lizzie’s Heritage Inn also shared a message about Bonnie’s passing:
With deep sorrow we announce the passing of our incredible mother, grandmother, innkeeper, and dearest Bonnie. She loved this home and sharing the beautiful history of Lizzie’s with everyone that passed through. This was the perfect way to spend her last years, she always wanted to be a safe place for others; she was that and more. Anyone who has met Bonnie LOVES Bonnie. She will missed beyond words and her presence will be forever be missed in this home. Rest In Peace Grandma Bonnie 🖤
Our thoughts are with Meri at this time. She has always spoken so fondly of her mother, and with a great deal of admiration. The same can be said for numerous others who knew Bonnie.
I will conclude with Meri’s post celebrating Bonnie’s birthday last year. She shared the message on the inn’s Instagram page on March 9. Here’s the photo followed by Meri’s words:
Let’s just take a minute to talk about this amazing human seated next to me. Lizzie’s Heritage Inn hostess and innkeeper extraordinaire. The person who drops everything to be of service to her kids, grandkids, or anyone, for that matter. The person who keeps God at the center of her life. The person who never speaks an ill word of anyone and always finds the sunshine and the good things in life. Lizzie’s granddaughter, my mom. When I was debating purchasing our old family home and opening this little B&B, someone expressed to me the importance of having an innkeeper in the home who had love and passion for the history here. I think she fits the bill!
Happy Birthday mom!!
