Sir Mix-A-Lot reveals which celebrity inspired “Baby Got Back”
“Baby Got Back” is one of the most memorable songs from the 1990’s as well as one of the most iconic sing-alongs to date. Whenever you hear that signature beat, your ears instantly perk up and you prepare to rattle off verse after verse of big booty admiration.
Butt, did you know Sir Mix-A-Lot’s ode to the derrière wasn’t just written about any booty but rather one in particular?
Yes, that’s right, “Baby Got Back” actually was developed from a muse– and a rather famous one at that.
According to TMZ, Sir Mix-A-Lot (a.k.a. Anthony Ray) admitted he wrote “Baby Got Back” after watching Jennifer Lopez shake her stuff as a Fly Girl on In Living Color.
Take that Kim Kardashian!
