Salwa Amin from Buckwild sentenced to prison
Salwa Amin, a cast member from MTV’s now-cancelled reality show Buckwild, has been sentenced to prison in West Virginia.
Amin was sentenced yesterday in a Nicholas County Circuit Court to 1 to 5 years in prison for dealing drugs. The 24-year-old plead guilty to 1 count of conspiracy to possess with intent to deliver a controlled substance. As part of a plea deal, she agreed to testify against two other men who were involved in the incident that led to her arrest last year.
Amin will receive credit for the 192 days she’s already spent incarcerated.
As we previously reported, Amin was very open about her struggles with addiction and the difficulties of remaining sober.
This was her last tweet from back in October:
120 days clean today!!!…On the day I gotta turn myself in 🙁
