Jackie Goldschneider doubles down on Danielle Staub shade, shares thoughts on RHONJ viewers

New RHONJ cast member Jackie Goldschneider has been an intriguing new addition to the cast this season. But Jackie found herself a lightning rod for even more criticism than usual this week, following the publication of an article on parenting that Team Teresa members took to be a shot at Jennifer Aydin. In a new interview with The Domenick Nati Show, Jackie explained what she really meant with the article, and shared her thoughts on some of her RHONJ co-stars — as well as on her critics.

First of all, here’s the interview itself, which packs a surprising amount of gossip and good tea into just six-and-a-half minutes:

Jackie clarified that she never called anyone’s children “spoiled” in the article (though the headline — “Do too many gifts create spoiled children?” — did so by implication). But she acknowledged: “Yes, it was Jennifer Aydin’s house. But her children are definitely not spoiled. Which was why I wrote the article.”

To all a Good night…?

Jackie also said she “stands by” asking Teresa Giudice “Do you really feel like your husband would be in jail right now if you could control what he did?” But, to her knowledge, there’s “no way” Teresa is seeing a mystery man while Joe is in prison, despite being spotted with one on New Year’s Eve.

And she got in a few good shots at Danielle Staub’s expense. Jackie said she has “no idea” what’s going on in Danielle’s head, but “the fact that she has been engaged so many times means she clearly likes being attached to somebody.” Danielle also “runs her mouth and makes things up,” but Jackie added she wasn’t saying Danielle made up the story about domestic violence between herself and estranged husband Marty Caffrey.

If Danielle were single, would Jackie hook one of her male friends up with her co-star? “If I wanted to punish them for something, maybe,” Jackie said.

Jackie gave her longest and most in-depth answer to a question about The Real Housewives of New Jersey‘s viewers. Largely because she’s been in the crosshairs all week, Jackie had a ton to say when asked what it is that the show’s viewers attack her the most for:

You know what, honestly, it’s very funny. If people are like, on Team Teresa, or whatever, they’ll start off telling me, like, ‘You were so wrong to go into Jennifer’s house. And you have ugly lips!’ And they move in different directions — ‘And you need lip implants.’ So, like, it veers into this area where I’m like, ‘What the f*ck?’ [Laughs] You know? Like, people are just, like crazy! I’m like, you can be mad at me, for writing an article that, you think I should have given her a heads-up — fine, that’s your opinion and I’m happy to read that. But, like, once you start talking about my face, and my lips, and my hair, and I’m this, and I’m ugly, that’s all new territory for me, and I’m just trying to ignore some of it. People can be very cruel. I think there are some people who are very big fans of Teresa who, no matter what I’m going to do, are not going to like me. And this article just gave them more fuel to [dislike] me. So, you know, you just can’t please everybody. I’m trying to ignore the really, really vicious comments, but people…you know, they’ll get on you for anything.

Finally, Jackie also said that of all the Housewives across all the franchises, RHOC star Shannon Beador is the one she would want on RHONJ the least of all. Shannon is “not as open to new friendships,” “a little more judgmental,” and “not as fun” as Jackie would like.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 9 airs Wednesdays at 9 PM on Bravo.
