Courteney Cox and her Cougar Town co-star Brian Van Holt were first linked in 2010, but finally, it looks like they have gone public. The two were recently seen acting like “boyfriend and girlfriend” during dinner in West Hollywood and sources say that’s because they are official. Brian has even hit it off with Courteney’s daughter.
“They’ve been going out for about six months,” an insider confirmed to Us Weekly.
Courteney was reportedly waiting to go public with the romance until she and her ex-husband David Arquette were officially divorced. While the couple initially split in 2010, they didn’t file for divorce until 2012 and it wasn’t finalized until last month.
Courteney and David’s daughter, Coco, is now 8-years-old and although it’s always a little odd for children when their parent starts dating again after a split, she seems to have really taken to Brian.
“The girl was extremely comfortable with Brian,” an onlooker revealed. “She treated him like a dad or an uncle.”
Back in 2010, when Courteney and Brian were first linked, David addressed the rumor during an appearance on The Howard Stern Show, telling the host that while he didn’t think that Courteney ever physically cheated on him with Brian, he did think that there could have been some cheating on an emotional level.”
As for David’s dating life, he had been seeing Christina McLarty since 2012 but the pair is rumored to have just recently split.
