Obama’s budget director Peter Orszag proposed to his girlfriend of six months, ABC News correspondent Bianna Golodryga Monday at lunch by placing an extravegant engagement ring on the table, the NY Times reports. This morning Bianna confirmed the engagement on GMA giggling, “He could say Golodryga and spell it after the first date, and that is a winner in my book.”
She also claimed that there were no Playgirl spreads in Peter’s past, so I guess we can all be thankful? Okay, so Bianna likes Peter because he can spell her name, but why does Peter like Bianna?
“She’s a Russian Jew who gets up earlier than I do.”
Orszag, 41, and Golodryga, 31, met this May at the annual White House Correspondents dinner and sparks have been flying ever since like a plot line right out of The West Wing. October, the beginning of the fiscal year in the government’s budget calendar, is they month they plan to tie the knot.
The budget guru, who has quite a daunting task tackling the largest deficit since World War II, asked approval to propose to Golodrgya from his two children from his previous marriage to Cameron Hamill.
