The people at Oreo are no strangers to corny flavors (some of their limited edition flavors have included Strawberry Milkshake Oreos, Green Tea Oreos, and Birthday Cake Oreos), but Nabisco’s latest creation is perhaps the corniest of them all — Candy Corn Oreos!
The cookies consist of orange and yellow creme sandwiched between two golden Oreo cookies and will be available exclusively at Target stores nationwide through October 31. The fine folks at FoodBeast got their hands on a package and had this to say about the Candy Corneos:
Each container comes with about 20 cookies, with every two cookies setting you back about 150 calories, 7 grams of fat and 12 grams of sugar.
How do they taste? Like frosting. If no one had told you they were candy corn flavor, chances are you would have never guessed it was themed after the popular Halloween candy. There’s a slight hint of candy corn flavoring, but it’s almost indistinguishable from birthday cake frosting flavors.
Being the diligent food researchers that they are, FoodBeast even uploaded a video for the curious:
Apparently they’re pretty good, unless someone else has licked them already.
Let’s all sing along!
“Oh, oh, oh, ice cold milk and an Oreo cookie. They forever go together. What a classic combination when an orange, mysterious substance meets a yellow, mysterious substance, like the one and only creamy, candy corny, Halloweeny, O-R-E-O!
