VIDEO – The Meryl Streep/Sandra Bullock kiss: Leading ladies lock lips onstage at 2010 Critic’s Choice Awards

15th Annual Critics' Choice Movie Awards - Show

2009 was a fantastic year for Meryl Streep: she got props for playing a stuffy and repressed nun in Doubt, got even bigger attention for her lighthearted roles in Julie & Julia and It’s Complicated, and shown brightly as a role model for women everyone to age gracefully and joyfully, but it’s been an even better year for Sandra Bullock, who came out of hermit-like hiding to dominate both the box office and awards nominations.

It could’ve been an epic battle (not really) Friday at the Critic’s Choice Awards (January 15), but neither one of these leading ladies had to go home a loser. They tied for the best actress category, and Sandra Bullock was so excited she landed a big ‘ol kiss on Meryl Streep. During Bullock’s speech she outlined the similarities between the two of them, saying she loves “food and sex like Meryl. … That’s how similar we are. You guys just didn’t notice it until now.”

Sandra Bullock also shared that Meryl was a good kisser.
