PHOTOS RHOM’s Joanna Krupa hosts Angels For Animal Rescue benefit
During Tuesday’s Angels For Animal Rescue event at the Beverly Wilshire, Real Housewives of Miami‘s Joanna Krupa looked like a star — but gladly shared the spotlight with animals in need of new homes.
“I hope to make a difference in the lives of animals by saving them and by being their voice. We speak up for the voiceless,” Joanna told National Geographic of the Angels For Animal Rescue organization. “We save the forgotten who are left behind. I save those who are truly in need of rescuing.”
The free event was hosted by Joanna and her Angels For Animal Rescue co-founder, Gabi Gutierrez. Guests were encouraged to buy raffle tickets for the chance to win a pink sapphire necklace designed specifically for the nonprofit.
Based on photos from the event, it seemed to draw a good crowd. Attendees included America’s Next Top Model‘s Katie Cleary, Shahs of Sunset‘s GG and RHOBH‘s Joyce Giraud. Some of the animals available for rescue through the organization made appearances at the event.
Joanne has been a dedicated animal activist ever since 2005. One of her more notable successes was convincing the Kardashians to stop selling fur vests at Dash.
