The inaugural season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills was drama-packed to say the least, and most all of the drama revolved around strong-willed brunette Kyle Richards.
Camille Donatacci Grammer took offense to a comment Kyle made early on in the season about whether or not people would care about watching her without hubby (at the time) Kelsey Grammer around. That she said/she said misunderstanding was fuel for a fire that blazed all season and seemingly left their friendship a burnt bridge. But, Kyle and Camille were both at Perez Hilton’s Blue Ball 33rd Birthday Celebration and although they did seem reluctant, the duo made nice and actually hugged! (See above)
But don’t think everything is gumdrops and lollipops for Cam and Ky – there is obviously still a great deal of tension between the two reality starlets, as evidenced by these hilariously awkward photos in which they each get a chance to demonstrate how much more they like castmate Taylor Armstrong:
More traumatic for Kyle than her fallout with Camille was the explosive on-camera spat with sister Kim Richards in which Kyle accused her of being an alcoholic and Kim countered by claiming Kyle stole her house. Since that time the sisters have reportedly rarely spoken to each other (outside of the Bravo reunion) and the healing process has been painfully slow.
But, the sisters were able to bury the hatchet for their Aunt Kathy Hilton’s birthday party held at Il Cielo in Beverly Hills on March 18, 2011. The two are seen here just after the party seeming downright civil:
I realize that Kyle and Kim aren’t exactly having a slumber party here, but the fact that they were willing to be photographed within 500 feet of each other and aren’t at each other’s throats means something, right? And what do you suppose that card says in Kim’s hand? I’m thinking it reads “Sorry ’bout the whole alcoholic thing.”
I suppose we will all have to wait for Season 2 to see if Kyle can repair the damage done to her relationships with Kim and Camille – and I for one cannot wait!
