This week’s televisual lingerie extravaganza might as well have been called the Gigi Hadid Victoria’s Secret Show: Thanks to a bevy of positive attention and accolades galore, the 20-year-old model has taken the fashion world by storm, and looks to build on her success for an even bigger 2016.

Though her fellow model and BFF Kendall Jenner has gotten more attention outside the fashion world, Gigi Hadid has been turning more heads inside of it. The just-aired 2015 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show featured Gigi prominently, and made her status as cover girl for nearly a dozen magazines over the past year easier to understand for people just starting to wonder: “Who is Gigi Hadid?”

In addition, the model’s net worth has expanded greatly–according to Forbes, Gigi pulled in just shy of $3.5 million in modeling revenue over the past year, which is actually more than Kendall, who benefits from Kardashian-based television dollars as well. Her Instagram following has nearly doubled; Gigi has almost ten million followers on the platform, and she recently topped the million mark on Twitter. Yet, despite all that, the Gigi Hadid Victoria’s Secret connection only began this year: it was her first time working with the world-famous brand.
