What was interesting about it: The music notes on the full skirt. Katy told E! News of the dress, “It’s musical for music’s biggest night!”
Taylor Swift in Gucci
What was interesting about it: Taylor joked to Ryan Seacrest that the chainmail dress was probably bulletproof.
Kelly Osbourne in Badgley Mischka
What was interesting about it: Kelly’s black dress was pretty basic from the front, but she accessorized with a backward cross — from Ozzy Osbourne’s personal collection.

What was interesting about it: Why were there lion heads, but a zebra print?
Sara Bareilles in Blumarine
What was interesting about it: Even though her dress was a bold high-low look, Sara’s braids attracted more attention. Sara said the hairdo was inspired by Hunger Games‘ Katniss Everdeen.
Kacey Musgraves in Armani Prive
What was interesting about it: Before winning Country Album of the Year, Kacey Musgraves showed off her side tattoo in this tiered, nude gown.
Colbie Caillat in Ezra Santos
What was interesting about it: Colbie showed off just a bit of skin in this red lace gown. The dress also featured a long train. (Her hair just didn’t seem to match the otherwise glamorous look…)
