It was HUGE news when Kim Kardashian and husband Kanye West graced the cover of the April, 2014 issue of Vogue, and now the reality superstar is once again featured on a Vogue cover, this time “down under” and all by herself.
Kim shared the Australian Vogue cover above (click to enlarge) on Twitter and wrote, “Here’s the 1st look of my February cover with Australian Vogue!!!!” In the photo Kim is seen walking at the beach wearing an all white look from Balmain that includes a see-through pleated skirt, a long-sleeved top with a plunging neckline, and a bandeau top working overtime. The look is one of many worn by Kim in the interior photo spreads and is from Balmain’s Spring Summer 2015 Ready to Wear collection.
Kim also shared this photo montage of herself running through the ocean wearing a black sleeveless and legless outfit with “VOGUE” printed in white on the top:
“I truly am so honored to have worked with one of style icons, fashion director @Centenera for this cover for @VogueAustralia and shoot in one of my favorite places in the world, Australia!” Kim wrote along with the instagram picture, adding, “Thank you Gilles Bensimon for these gorgeous pics! Can’t wait to see the rest out Monday!” We couldn’t resist handing the images over to our animation department, who created this overly simple Baywatchtacular animated gif:
“I like sharing my world with people,” Kim told the magazine in her interview. “Although I wish there could be just maybe a little bit more privacy just for our daughter,” she added. Kim remains realistic and optimistic though. “But it is what it is. She is going to grow up to be a strong girl.”
In addition to talking about North, Kim also opened up about husband Kanye West, explaining that their ten-year friendship provided a solid foundation for their marriage. “We are absolute best friends; we know every last thing about each other,” she says. “We know our goals are to make each other’s lives really happy, and I think we know how to do that. We have so much fun together. We laugh together. We’re obsessed with our family. We love our daughter so much.”
In summary, Kim seemed overwhelming appreciative of her success and extremely contented with where she is at. “I love my life. I feel like I’m in a really good place right now.”
