PHOTO: Bill Murray’s kicks ass in plaid at Cannes Moonrise Kingdom photocall
Bill Murray is so quirky lovable, it should be illegal in most states.
Bill Murray attended the photocall for his new Wes Anderson movie Moonrise Kingdom at the 65th Cannes film festivals in a plaid jacket, shirt, pants combo so amazing it will temporarily make you go blind.
The neurotically charming and irrepressible Bill Murray is a constant staple in auteur Wes Anderson’s movies, he even commented about that to MTV: “It’s really fun, and I do feel that I am sort of in the center, because I’ve been in [Anderson’s films] a long time.”
He also told the Belfast Telegraph how freaked out he was by seeing fans in public, especially when they’re intoxicated with the fever of a new film:” After a big film people in the street look at you with a strange hunger; mad, raw and terrifying,” he told British newspaper The Times. “Not so much here, but in America it’s like being in a steam room all the time. You have to hide away.'”
It’s not easy being Bill Murray, folks.
Moonrise Kingdom, which is getting great reviews so far, is an adventure love story between two pre-teens. It promises to have the same nostalgic, sad-twee, privileged storybook feel that defines Wes Anderson’s work. In other words: yes, please.
