Penélope Cruz and husband Javier Bardem welcomed their second child, a daughter, yesterday.
Cruz gave birth at Ruber Internacional Hospital in Madrid on Monday — the same day the royal son came into the world in London. The actress is extremely protective of the couple’s 2-year-old son Leo, so the timing really couldn’t have been better.
No further details about the new addition were provided.
Cruz and Bardem are set to star together in this year’s The Counselor alongside Brad Pitt. The film was written by Cormac McCarthy and will be directed by Ridley Scott.
