Palin family allegedly went all Alaska Shore in party brawl
A handful of members of the Palin family reportedly weren’t conservative with drinking beer or throwing their fists around at an Anchorage party last weekend.
The details of what exactly went down are hazy, but one partygoer who spoke with ABC News was clear that the drama only broke out once the Palin family arrived in a stretch Hummer. From what I can tell based on the ABC News report and one from Alaska political blogger Amanda Coyne, Bristol Palin first got into a one-sided fight with a male guest.
“She was punching him in the face like six times,” said Eric Thompson, who gave a statement to police after the event. “It was an assault if I’ve ever seen one… It wasn’t a light punch either. She was really hitting him. I’m surprised he just sat there and took it.”
Later — as beer continued to flow — it sounds like Track Palin got into a fight of his own with one of Willow Palin’s old boyfriends.
“I heard Sarah Palin yell do you know who I am? All of us could not believe it,” Eric Thompson said. “We thought we were watching an episode of Jerry Springer.”
In a statement to The Washington Post, Anchorage Police Department’s communications director Jennifer Castro confirmed there was a “verbal and physical altercation” at the Sept. 6 party.
“At the time of the incident, none of the involved parties wanted to press charges and no arrests were made,” the statement said. “However, the case is still an active investigation and is being reviewed by APD and the Municipal Prosecutors Office. Alcohol was believed to have been a factor in the incident.”
