The Insider has finally found a formula that works: Stick two fame hungry and outspoken reality stars together and have them go at each other. It helps if one or both have engaged in questionable activities, have a disconnect from reality, and overblown egos. A couple weeks ago Jon Gosselin got yelled at by both Nancy Grace and Bethenny Frankel, which gave The Insider and edge into pop culture consciousness.
Now, they’ve struck gold again, this time pitting the always graceless Nene Leakes against one of America’s least favorable fathers, Michael Lohan.
Nene doesn’t argue, she steamrolls a conversation with her loud voice and repeated phrases. She once called in to Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Show to repeatedly call Kim Zolciak a “trash box.” Kim easily came out the winner by mostly keeping quiet and letting Nene sound like a raving lunatic with no class or sense.
It turns out that Kim Z.’s buddy, Michael Lohan, isn’t as savvy. When he got attached by Nene’s word bombardment (this time the rather accurate “Toxic Parent”), he lashed out about her weight, at some point telling her to get her “fat ass” out of the chair. Nene may be a rather classless lady and a poor fighter, but she won this round, simply because Michael Lohan managed to out-douche himself.
Lohan has since apologized for the way he responded to Nene’s verbal attack, but if he were faced with the same situation, he would have done it again. And Nene didn’t deliver it effectively, but she had a point, Michael Lohan is a toxic parent.
