When Robin Campbell decided to take his dog for a walk over the weekend he forgot all his clothes. At least the 20-year-old remembered that this was Florida and in order to make headlines he had to do much better than just random nakedness.
Police were summoned to a Maitland, Florida neighborhood at around 5 PM on Sunday after residents spotted Campbell in the buff taking the ol’ pup for a stroll. When the officers inquired as to the whereabouts of Campbell’s threads he was said to have replied, “This is God’s House.”
Digging deeper, one of the cops asked if Campbell had been drinking, to which he replied, “You have had some alcohol.” He eventually confessed to having ingested some hallucinogenic mushrooms adding, “If you don’t get out of my way, I’m going to kill you.”
Well officers don’t take too kindly to high nude dudes, especially when they decide it’s a good idea to threaten them, so they went about the process of arresting Campbell. Robin resisted and was tasered in the chest in a failed attempt to subdue him. He was stunned briefly but then charged towards the arresting officers. Campbell was tasered yet again but he remained on his feet and lunged for the taser gun.
Eventually a third tasering got the job done but not until after Campbell had managed to draw blood from one of the officer’s hands while kicking another. He was handcuffed, taken to a nearby hospital and then booked into the Orange County Jail on two counts of battery of a law enforcement officer, resisting an officer with violence, resisting an officer without violence, and exposure of sexual organs.
